Everything you go through in life, you’re meant to go through. It’s how much you learn from it. I’ve learnt loads. Growing up on a council estate, you make do with what you’ve got. Out of that you can make some amazing shit.

In memoriam for Steve Jobs as 2011 draws to a close, here’s one more rare photo that illustrates his rebellious spirit. In December 1983, a few weeks before the Mac launch, we made a quick trip to New York City to meet with Newsweek, who was considering doing a cover story on the Mac. The photo was taken spontaneously as we walked around Manhattan by Jean Pigozzi, a wild French jet setter who was hanging out with us at the time. Somehow I ended up with a copy of it. My editor begged me to include it in my book, but I was too timid to ask for permission, especially since IBM was still making CPUs for Apple at the time.

Christmas in Trafalgar SquareTrafalgar Square is given a Christmas tree every year from Norway. It has happened every year since 1947 to say thank you for Britain’s support during World War II. The tree is normally a Norwegian Spruce and is over 20 meters (70 ft) tall.
The Christmas tree remains in Trafalgar Square until just before the Twelfth Night of Christmas as after it is meant to be bad luck; although in my house we take the decorations down well after new years. We must be plagued with bad luck. The countdown clock on the right is the time until the London Olympics in 2012. only 267 days it seems.

We see a lot of Internet hoaxes here at Breaking News, and a hoax about Jon Bon Jovi’s death has been making the rounds today. So much so, the rocker himself just posted this Facebook photo to prove he’s alive.

Stairs to St Paul’s
I haven’t been back to visit the protesters at St Paul’s recently but I hear that they had to get rid of a few tents although I’m sure that it didn’t have much effect on their spirit. This was taken a while back on a photo walk before the protesters took camp at the bottom of these steps.
Only 4 days to christmas everyone. I should now start to buy some presents. Oxford street is mad at the run up to christmas so I am going to try and avoid it at all costs.

Come, come thou bleak December wind,
And blow the dry leaves from the tree!
Flash, like a Love-thought, thro’ me, Death
And take a Life that wearies me.
