Shard at London Bridge - the Tallest in Britain

Its a sad day for Canary Wharf.

The Shard over London Bridge station is now the tallest building in Britain, as the concrete core of the skyscraper has passed 770 feet, the height of the pyramid-topped 1, Canada Square.

It will reach 1,017 feet once completed in 2012 which will make it the tallest building in Europe.

'core'

In the distance you can see the concrete core of the Shard of Glass, under construction on the top of London Bridge railway station.

This is from Cuba Street Steps to the North Pole pub, and the sun was going down fast.
