Regular maps of Paris’ large, incredibly intricate subway system can get overwhelming to look at very fast, but a gorgeous, interactive website makes it much easier on your eyes by rendering those maps through stunning 3-D graphics and commuting stats.

BBC Research & Development have created a site using the Web Audio API that lets you recreate the sounds of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, stuff you may have heard on a Jon Pertwee-era episode of Dr Who.
The Wobbulator is my favorite.

Neil DawsonEver wanted to cross the world for an incredible view and experience? A visit to the Gibbs Farm in New Zealand is one to put on your to do list. You can find an impressive piece of land at the Kaipara Harbour filled with unique sculptures which fits the landscape. The Kaipara property purchased by art collector Alan Gibbs became a place where Gibbs could push the limits by inviting artist to make major site-specific works with the help of architect Noel Lane and and a team of engineers.
After nearly twenty years the Gibbs Farm includes works of Anish Kapoor, Neil Dawson, Leon van den Eijkel, Daniel Buren and many more talented artists. Have a look at more artworks on the Gibbs Farm website.
I miss someone from New Zealand.

Soldiers have been drafted in to fill empty seats at the London 2012 Olympics after prime blocks of seating at the Aquatics Centre and gymnastics arena went unused on the first day of competition.
Troops were despatched to the North Greenwich Arena this morning to take up seats left empty by accredited officials from Olympic and sporting federations, as well as some sponsors and members of the media. More troops, many of whom had their leave cancelled to provide emergency cover after the organisers failed to find enough security guards, will be issued with last-minute invites to take seats in venues when blocks of seats are found to be empty, the games organisers said this morning

I want to go to the Olympic Park & I want to visit The Orbit, so I need 2 tickets for the same day.
I want to soak up some atmosphere & support Team GB & get some amazing photographs.

Olympic officials have said that there are 100,000 to 150,000 tickets still available for Olympic events, excluding football. The London organising committee said they will be no new kiosks set up to sell them – so how can desperate fans get their hands on the remaining tickets?

Bring Back British Rail merchandise:
What better way to make your point whilst travelling on the trains, than with this fantastic rail card wallet? Specially designed with the frequent traveller in mind with 3 internal pockets to accommodate a photocard, rail card and ticket. It features the special ‘reverse arrows’ logo designed by Fraser Muggeridge studio and the campaign website address, so you can easily help us spread the word.
Much as I’d like one of these, I miss the lightly textured Railcard wallets of the mid to late nineties. Those things were wonderful. (via)
Agreed.
I still have my Network South East ticket wallet.
